With the recent introduction of the Terra Xross 1 indoor inspection drone and the Terra Xross Cloud 3D data management and rapid data sharing tool, Terra Drone Corporation is working to streamline inspection operations. According to Terra Drone board director Kota Kandori, the combination of the Terra Xross 1 and Xross Cloud lets users “instantly see how the drone flew—even the movement of the control sticks—and where each photo was taken.” In this way, Kandori said, “The platform streamlines the entire process, from extracting photos from video footage to generating reports and sharing them via URL. This seamless workflow enhances efficiency in identifying issues and reporting findings, making inspections more effective and hassle-free.”

Working together, the two products bring many advantages to inspections work. For example, the Terra Xross 1 incorporates visual odometry sensors and lidar to ensure stable flights in hard-to-fly indoor environments. In addition, the vehicle supports both battery-powered operation and tethered power module. This produces a constant power supply that allows for continuous flight with a constant power supply while eliminating the risk of crashes from power depletion.

Moreover, the Terra Xross 1 does not require specialized piloting skills to operate, making it easier and faster for companies to get up and running with their operations. “Our stable flight technology allows more people to use drones while improving task efficiency effortlessly,” Kandori said.

Beyond its adaptability and user-friendliness, the Terra Xross 1 is designed to work seamlessly the Xross Cloud, allowing operators to easily visualize data captured by the in a 3D space. This data can be quickly managed and shared as either point cloud data or recorded video footage to maximize efficiency.
