Earlier this year, ACSL, Inc announced their partnership with Exertis Almo, a leading North American distributor as a response to the market’s growing interest in their SOTEN drone.

Exertis Almo now carries and distributes the SOTEN drone in kits customized for inspections, missions, agriculture, surveying, and public safety. Kits include the drone, a remote controller, and a swappable camera system. Other hardware carried includes gimbals, batteries, propeller and parts, and payloads, making it a one stop-shop for ACSL products.

Since its introduction into the market, the SOTEN drone has made headway into the American UAS space. This product has gained popularity for its compact size, versatility, and affordability. As a small UAS designed for aerial photography, the SOTEN drone is utilized for disaster response, infrastructure inspections, and surveillance across a broad range of industries like public safety, energy and utilities, and agriculture. Exertis Almo anticipates a high volume of orders for this drone in 2025.

"The SOTEN is one of the small handful of drones that is in the price range and of the size that users want," said Eric Jameson, Business Development Manager, Drone Solutions, Exertis Almo. "We’re signing up a lot of dealers, and I think this is going to be a good year with them.”

Beyond its versatility and affordability, a large appeal to this product is that it’s NDAA/TAA-compliant, a qualifier that is hard to come by and becoming increasingly significant. While it's not currently required for all commercial drones in the US to be NDAA/TAA-compliant, being equipped with drones that already meet the requirements could save companies a lot of hassle in the future. As the restrictions against Chinese manufactured hardware being operated in the US continues to grow, it’s predicted that the SOTEN could supersede DJI products for commercial and federal use in the states.

“SOTEN products are NDAA/TAA-compliant, and everyone is starting to see that’s a big deal,” Jameson told Commercial UAV News. "ACSL has demonstrated its commitment to the US Market, and are already the largest drone manufacturer in Japan. The product they’re bringing into the United States is not a first-generation drone. They’ve got a good team with experience in the drone space and for the business, which is why we’re excited to bring them to our partner network.”

As a large UAS distributor, Exertis Almo goes beyond the supply chain by providing a myriad of services such as installation, programming, commission services, and connectivity services. It’s this kind of service that enables the customer to get the drone in their hands, set up, and operate efficiently. A quick turnaround from placing the order to gathering data is key to a successful drone program. Being a trade-only distributor with 12 warehouses across the country, Exertis Almo is primed to help ACSL scale up SOTEN sales in the coming year and beyond.
