To combat security limitations created by COVID-19, FlytBase and Firnas Aero partnered to bring an end-to-end solution to help companies guard properties with drones.
“Given the recent events, and the urgent need to minimize human exposure to unfriendly environments, we are witnessing a rapid adoption of drone solutions for aerial security and surveillance,” said Nitin Gupta, FlytBase CEO. “We expect this partnership to help customers automate and scale their operations, save time and costs, improve safety, and ensure security.”
Focused on exploring and developing new applications for drones to overcome business and aviation challenges, Firnas Aero will integrate FlytBase’s intelligent fleet management software, FlytNow, with relevant drone hardware platforms to deliver turnkey surveillance solutions to local authorities.
As a cloud-based drone video streaming and fleet management solution, FlytNow provides low latency and high-quality video feeds from drones over 4G/LTE/5G from remote locations, with end-to-end encryption and authentication to keep data secure. In addition, the platform allows companies to control drones from anywhere for real-time operations. It features intuitive navigation controls, live location and telemetry, and allows to plan and execute drone missions from a work desk. Supporting all major drone hardware platforms such as DJI, Ardupilot, and PX4, FlytNow allows pilots to easily switch drones on demand.
While Firnas Aero is primarily using drones to overcome the risks and challenges of traditional inspection processes, it will leverage AI-based features and ‘edge intelligence’ to improve FlytNow with advanced capabilities like intruder detection, precision landing, collision avoidance, night vision, and more.
"Connecting people to each other is the idea at the heart of all aviation, and this partnership with FlytBase empowers our users to access real-time video feeds over the cloud, and even control their drones remotely with the intent of 24/7 security,” Tariq Nasraldeen, Founder CEO of Firnas Aero, said.
Founded in 2016, FlytBase builds smart and scalable drone applications to automate and scale drone operations that allow easy deployment of intelligent drone fleets. This is not the first time FlytBase is creating solutions to fight this pandemic. Earlier this year, the company made the FlytNow Pro subscription completely free “for those on the frontlines of the global fight against the pandemic” until, at least, December 2020.
