AuterionOS and Auterion Mission Control Aim to Improve Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Operations
Law enforcement officers, first responders, and rescue operators will benefit from the improved drone autonomy and data, increasing their safety and enabling them to make better and faster decisions.
MOORPARK, Calif. and ZURICH – March 16, 2023 – Auterion, the open source company building the software-defined future for mobile robotics and powering the world’s leading drone manufacturers, today released a new version of the Auterion Operating System (OS) and the Auterion Mission Control (AMC), delivering significant improvements that will benefit users who perform Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations.
The new features include:
Full Integration with NextVision payloads: Integration with cameras like the NextVision Raptor bring IRS and situational awareness to the next level.
Simplified Operations: In-field operators can focus on what’s important.
Improved User Experience: A better design offers a simplified mission planning experience.
It’s now easier to perform operations in extended and dynamic environments, thanks to the tight integration of Auterion’s platform components, the specific trajectory patterns and payload command triggers enabled by AMC, and the payload behavior managed by the onboard software.
“Our team works hard to offer operators a seamless experience on their missions by integrating and simplifying every aspect of drone hardware and software,” said Markus Achtelik, vice president of engineering at Auterion. “We strive for autonomy so that our users can feel empowered and safe.”
Full Integration with NextVision Payloads
Auterion expands its ecosystems of supported payloads for a wide range of applications and end users. The latest release includes full integration with NextVision cameras like the NextVision Raptor which is a lightweight, long-range dual EO-IR stabilized camera turret with significant range increase and zoom. This integrated camera and gimbal brings situational awareness to a new level thanks to an electro-optical sensor with 80x zoom and infrared capability.
Simplified Operations
To get the most from ISR missions, operators need to perform numerous actions. With this update, those actions are executed by the software, allowing the operator to focus on payload adjustments while the vehicle automatically readjusts its trajectory to maintain a target in the field of view.
Improved User Experience
The newest version of Auterion Mission Control (AMC) provides a better user experience thanks to the improved design of the user interface and further-simplified mission planning experience. This release features improved commands to make flying and managing operations intuitive and high performing. Its user-friendliness makes it easier to learn, requiring less training and making it easier to onboard new staff.
