On September 20, Skydio will present Ascend, an event that will bring together professionals from throughout the drone world to explore the benefits of combining the world's most intelligent flight software with the data-collecting capabilities enabled by the latest in precision engineered hardware. Attendees will get up-close access to the leaders who are advancing the future of drones and AI-enabled autonomous flight. Also, they’ll witness the benefits firsthand of combining the world's most intelligent flight software with the data-collecting capabilities enabled by the latest in precision engineered hardware.
As we all know, drones are having a transformative impact across enterprises and the public sector. As a trailblazer in the development and integration of autonomous drone technology, Skydio continues to see this impact rapidly expand for its wide base of 1,500+ customers. From vital search and rescue missions to critical infrastructure inspections to protecting our troops around the world, drones are making industries like public safety, transportation, energy, construction, and defense safer and more efficient.
According to event organizers, Skydio is presenting Ascend to discuss and demonstrate this impact and present the latest advances and newest innovations in the drone industry to show what’s coming next.
“We’re always pushing to develop drones that can autonomously collect critical data without needing the constant attention of a pilot,” said Skydio CEO Adam Bry, who will be delivering Ascend’s keynote. “That’s why we’re currently focusing on AI and other autonomy-enabling technologies; to ensure we deliver the most sophisticated autonomous flight capabilities ever seen in a drone. We believe it has the potential to change the way people view and use drones from now on."
Ascend’s presentations and sessions will provide attendees the chance to learn from the leaders in autonomous drones, hear directly from industry pioneers across public safety, transportation, construction, and energy utilities, and actually see how AI will impact the future of autonomous flight. In addition, keynote speakers will provide important industry insight and share their visions for using drones across their organizations.
Keynote speakers include:
- Chief John Chell, Chief of Patrol, New York City Police Department
- Bob Brock, Director of Aviation, Kansas Department of Transportation
- Jason Regan, Vice President, System Inspections, Pacific Gas and Electric Company
- Jeff Kunins, Chief Product Officer and Chief Technology Officer, Axon
Other presenters include representatives from Duke Energy, Baltimore Gas & Electric, Oklahoma City Police Department, Omaha Public Power District, New York Power Authority, and Idaho Power.
In addition to asking questions of the true experts in autonomous drones, attendees will get to hear exclusive insights from Skydio’s product team and get to learn and network with industry peers.
